湖南省浏阳市中医医院建于1956年,1994年被国家中医管理局评为二级甲等医院,同年被卫生部授予全国示范中医医院称号,先后三次被人事部、卫生部评为全国先进集体,多次评为省、市级文明单位。医院开设病床408张,职工总数450人,其中有高、中级技术职称的专业人员146人,设有14个病区,设有急诊科、肿瘤科、消化科、儿科、心血管、呼吸内科、中风专科、老干科、糖尿病专科、肾病专科、五官科、颅脑外科、脊柱外科、骨关节病科、普外科、泌尿科、肝胆科、胸外科、妇产科、肛肠科、烧伤科、蛇伤科等临床科室。其中中医四肢骨伤、骨病科、颅脑外科是我院的龙头科室,中风专科与北京广安门医院合作成立的中西结合肿瘤科是我院的特色科室,蛇科、肛肠、肝胆外科是我院的强项专科。2002年被中国烧伤创疡科技中心验收批准"中国烧伤创疡治疗中心
