蜂王浆是蜜蜂头部分泌出来的一种乳白色或淡黄色，略带香甜味，有些酸涩辛辣的浆状物质。能够分泌王浆的多是３～２０日龄幼蜂，幼蜂分泌王浆需吞食大量的花粉，从而也可断定花粉的营养价值，这跟奶牛吃了草，挤出来的是牛奶相似。蜜蜂分泌王浆主要是用来饲喂１～３日龄的幼虫
