高天民(中国国家画院美术研究院常务副院长、美术评论家)徐州美术具有显著的精神特征徐州美术精神总的来说有以下几点;首先是朴厚强正的气质。这在画家的作品中表现得非常明显,尤其是可染大师作品表现更是淋漓尽致;其次是积极进取的精神。徐州画家能够取得成就都经过了一番拼搏,而且克服了很多困难,这些是徐州人积极进取的精神使然;三是积极探索的精神。徐州画家在探索性上没有任何禁忌,有综合性和包容性;四是写意的精神。这是汉画像石和汉代艺术的传统,也是中国艺术的精神。这些与徐州豪放霸气的精神联系在一起。
