A lot of research shows that in the next 4 years the size of the mobile advertising market will reach 1 billion to 24 billion US dollars. Many companies are exploring. MySpace offers a free, sponsored version; Blyk offers free calling and text messaging services to consumers ages 16-24, provided users agree to receive ads on their mobile phones. Although the survey shows that 80% to 90% of consumers are willing to receive advertisements on mobile phones on free music or video, this market is still in its infancy. In addition, “invasiveness” of sending ads to a highly private space (private cell phones) is a big hurdle for people to accept it.
