A new study published in the American Journal of Nephrology found that a “fried food + sweet drink” diet can increase the risk of kidney disease death by 50%. In a new study, Orlando Gutienrez, a nephrologist at the University of Alabama Medical School in the United States, and his colleagues conducted a 6-year follow-up study of nearly 4,000 patients with chronic kidney disease who have not yet started dialysis. Researchers analyzed the diet of patients with kidney disease. The results showed that the diet of processed foods and fried foods, animal offal and sugary drinks dominated the crowd, the risk of kidney disease death 50% higher than the average person. New study also found that eating more fruits and vegetables can reduce the risk of death from kidney disease by nearly 25%.
