切削液的切削性能试验分为间接金属切削试验和直接的金属切削试验。间接的金属切削试验,如切削收缩试验、接触长度试验、切削热与切削温度试验、刀具磨损试验、切削力试验、振动试验、表面光洁度试验等,主要是研究切削液的润滑冷却基本切削性能,这些试验得出的数据,在生产应用上很有参考价值。直接的金属切削试验,如生产试验,可以直接测量切削液的切削性能指标,主要是刀具寿命、产品质量(精度、表面光洁度等)、功率消耗。
