现在的半自动焊机送丝方式主要有推丝式,此方式通常采用3米长的软管送丝,这种送丝方式的最大特点是焊枪体积轻、操作方便。但是由于焊枪的电缆长度受到限制,使移动的焊把不可能有很大的活动范围。因此,要使焊枪尽可能的长距离化,只要使焊丝送丝装置和焊枪之间的距离加长,将焊丝送丝装置固定,焊枪的活动范围就能够扩大。但是,当细焊丝采用推丝式时,就会发生焊丝在长软管内弯、送丝电机过载等许多问题。
