鄂沙28是我省沙洋农场农科所育成的棉花高产品种,1981年开始在全省示范繁殖,1982年全省种植面积达32万亩,平均亩产皮棉117.2斤,比鄂光棉、鄂棉6号、天棉1号等品种平均亩产83.7斤增产40.02％,每担皮棉售价约高20元左右,表现高产优质,深受群众欢迎。但是,由于该品种是杂交选育而成的,在繁殖推广中必然会产生一定的分离变异。据1982年大田调查,一般田块分离株率为3—5％,多的达15％左右。为了搞好提纯复壮,保持该品种的优良种性,1981、1982两年我们在繁殖田和株行圃、株系圃对它的分离变异进行了田间观察和室内考查;1982年对分离类型进行比较试验,现将试验结果总结如下。
