龚和德先生于1931年出生于江苏省启东县合丰镇。他自小爱好京剧,1950年考入中央戏剧学院华东分院(时名上海市立戏剧专科学校,今上海戏剧学院)舞台美术系,接受了话剧体系教育。他与戏曲有不解之缘,1954年从中央戏剧学院华东分院毕业后,进入中国戏曲研究院(今中国艺术研究院),在张庚先生的领导下从事戏曲研究工作,从此受到全新的戏曲思想的洗礼,在戏曲学术园地孜孜不倦地耕耘,求索至今。
Mr. Gong Hede was born in 1937 in Hefeng Town, Qidong County, Jiangsu Province. He loved Peking Opera in his childhood, and was admitted to the stage art department of East China Branch of the Central Academy of Drama (now known as Shanghai Municipal Academy of Drama, now Shanghai Theater Academy) in 1950 and accepted drama system education. He had an indissoluble bond with the opera. After graduating from East China Branch of the Central Academy of Drama in 1954, he entered the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Opera (now China Academy of Art) and engaged in opera research under the leadership of Mr. Zhang Geng. From then on, The baptism of ideas, in the academic field of opera diligently cultivated, seeking so far.
