上海外国语学院英语系目前设有语言文学和国际新闻两个专业。语言文学专业学制四年,国际新闻专业学制五年。从1989年起,我系还招收三年制专科生;专科生政治表现好、学习成绩好,可在第二学年结束后提出申请转入本科学习,经审查批准,即为本科生。我系是博士生和硕士生培养点,享有博士学位和硕士学位的授予权;并设有英国学助教进修班。我系现有本科、专科生,研究生近700人。教学、科研任务都很繁重,教师又严重缺编;但是,我系教师勤奋工作,治学严谨,
The English department of Shanghai International Studies University currently has two majorities in language and literature and international news. Language and Literature professional system for four years, international news professional system for five years.
