在罗布淖尔、台特玛湖以西至尉犁东河滩一带有两条河流过境:其一为塔里木河,尾间为台特玛湖;其二为孔雀河,尾间为罗布淖尔。在漫长的历史岁月中,这两条河流形成了冲积洪积的河漫滩平原。密布的沙丘垅岗之间,分布有100多个大大小小的水泊,被叫作库勒、海子或湖泊,其中较著名的有喀喇库勒、喀喇和卓、洛普洛克湖等湖泊群。罗布人即生活在喀喇库勒、喀喇和卓这两大海子群中间。这一带明清时期叫小罗布淖尔,原属渠犁、山国(一作墨山国)。
At Robbull, west of Taitema Lake and east of Yili, there are two rivers passing through: one is the Tarim River and the other is Taitama Lake; the other is Peacock River and the end is Rooboir. During the long historical years, these two rivers formed alluvial flood plains. There are over 100 large and small water bells distributed between the dense sand dunes and the hillocks. They are called Kule, Haizi or lakes. Among them, the more famous ones are Karakul, Kara and Zhuo, Lapu-lakes, etc. Lake group The Robers live in the middle of the two major sub-groups of Kharak, Kara and Zhuo. This area is called the Little Luo Buluo Ming and Qing Dynasties, the original drainage plow, mountain country (one for Mount Murray).
