今年2月27日美国华人组织科技教育协会在波士顿举行了中国科技政策讨论会。这次讨论会是应本刊编辑部的要求举行的。讨论会上一些关心中国现代化建设的美藉著名华裔学者(其中多数是本刊美方编委)根据他们多次回国访问和讲学的亲身感受和经验,对我国科技体制改革三年来的经验和问题进行了精辟的分析,并提出了一些切中时弊的看法和意见。有些也正是一个时期来国内广为讨论的热门话题,例如如何正确看待科研工作的经济效益,科研与生产如何结合,如何正确处理高等院校的科研与培养人才的关系,以及研究机构搞开发应注意的问题等。为此我们特将聂华桐、吴京生、潘毓刚、李天和、蒲慕明等学者在讨论会上的发言和小组讨论整理发表,以飨读者。钱致榕教授的发言因收到成稿时,本期已发排,只能在下一期刊登,特向作者致歉。
On February 27 this year, the Chinese American Association for Science and Technology Education held a forum on China's science and technology policy in Boston. The symposium was held at the request of the editorial department of this magazine.
