安奈特集团近日宣布推出一款新型千兆位以太网连接扩展器。干兆位以太网通过多模光纤传输成本相对较低,但传统多模光纤传输距离仅限于220m(62.5/125μm)或550m(50/125μm),此次安奈特推出的这一新型AT—EX1001SC/GM1千兆位以太网多模扩展器克服了距离上的限制,使传输距离达到2km。 AT—EX1001SC/GM1千兆位以太网多模扩展器不但可以轻松升级以太网和快速以太网,对传统的FDDI网络也可以简单经济地进行升级。以太网和快速以太网利用多模光纤传输比非屏蔽双绞线铜缆传输距离长很多,非屏蔽双绞线铜缆传输的距离极限只有100m,但传统多模光纤的传输仅局限于同一建筑物或校园中,若要进行长距离传输只能采用单模光纤,而单模光纤成本较高。由安奈特研制成功的新型AT—EX1001SC/GM1千兆位以太网多模扩展器克服了这一障碍,即千兆位网的传输距离限制。AT—
