张文显,现任吉林省高级人民法院院长,1977年毕业于吉林大学法律系并留校任教,1982年获得法学硕士学位,1983年赴美国哥伦比亚大学法学院留学,2000年获得马克思主义哲学(法哲学方向)博士学位。历任吉林大学法学院院长、吉林大学党委常委、副校长、党委书记,并兼任国务院学位委员会委员,中国法学会副会长,2008年1月起任吉林省高级人民法院院长,2003年被中央政治局常委会确定为“中央马克思主义理论研究和建设工程”法理学教材课题组首席专家(召集人);是中共吉林省委委员、党的十七大代表、十一届全国人大代表。
Zhang Wenxian is currently the Dean of the Higher People’s Court of Jilin Province. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Jilin University in 1977 and stayed in the university for a master’s degree in law. In 1982, he studied at the Columbia Law School in the United States and Marxist philosophy in 2000 Direction) doctorate. He served as dean of Law School of Jilin University, member of Standing Committee of Party School of Jilin University, vice president and party secretary of Jilin University, and concurrently member of Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and vice president of China Law Society. From January 2008, he served as dean of Jilin Higher People’s Court. The Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China identified as the chief expert (convener) of the Task Force on the Jurisprudence Textbook of Central Marxist Theory Research and Construction Project. He is also a member of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee, the party’s 17th NPC, the 11th NPC representative.
