在具有“分层”、“分布”特征的网络管理系统中，“双角色”占据了十分重要的地位。当前流行的SunNetManager网络管理平台，提供了功能强大的API，但用来开发具备“分层”与“分布”特征的网络管理应用来说，有一定的局限性。为此，构想并实现了“双角色”程序Agent／Manager。介绍在Spare平台上实现的“双角色”程序。
