With the development of sprinkler irrigation technology in our country, the development and production of self-priming pump has been promoted, making this technology continuously updated. But self-priming pump self-absorption process is very complicated, there is no more complete self-absorption theory. In this paper, based on the experimental results, the necessary assumptions are put forward. Based on the basic equations of fluid mechanics, the motion of the pump during self-priming is analyzed.
