五台山位于中国山西省东北部,与浙江普陀山、四川峨嵋山、安徽九华山共称“中国佛教四大名山”。汉唐以来,五台山一直是中国的佛教中心,历朝不衰,它生动翔实地记载了中国佛教的发展过程,展现了佛教文化的灿烂和进步,千百年来吸引着无数的游人,日本、印度、尼泊尔等国的僧侣与五台山僧侣都有往来,体现出了佛教的民族化与国际化。五台山在我国传统文化中有较高的学术价值,在佛教文化中占据重要的地位,二零零九年,五台山作为文化景观列入《世界遗产名录》。
Wutai Mountain is located in northeastern Shanxi Province of China, with Zhejiang Putuo Mountain, Sichuan Emei Mountain, Anhui Jiuhuashan jointly called “four famous Buddhist mountains in China.” Since the Han and Tang dynasties, Wutai Mountain has always been the center of Buddhism in China. It vividly records the development of Chinese Buddhism and shows the splendor and progress of Chinese Buddhism. It has attracted countless visitors for thousands of years. Japan, India , Nepal and other countries monks and monks have contacts, reflecting the nationalization and internationalization of Buddhism. Wutai Mountain has a high academic value in Chinese traditional culture and occupies an important position in the Buddhist culture. In 2009, Wutai Mountain was included in the “World Heritage List” as a cultural landscape.
