松毛虫是我省最主要的森林害虫,每年受害松林面积达三百万亩左右,给林业生产、集体经济和群众生活带来很大损失。如以每亩受害松林每年损失材积生长量0.1836立方米计算,全省每年损失的木材就有五十万立米,相当于目前全省一年的采伐量。全省每年因松毛虫危害至少减少松枝柴四、五百万担。松毛虫不仅危害松林,而且危害社员健康。近几年来,全省计有十五个县、市发生
Dendrolimus is the most important forest pest in our province. The area of damaged pine forests is about 3 million mu each year, which brings great losses to forestry production, collective economy and people’s life. For example, the annual loss of timber volume affected by acre of pine forest is 0.1836 cubic meters. There are 500,000 cubic meters of wood lost each year in the province, which is equivalent to the amount of logging in the whole province for one year. The province every year due to the damage caused by pine caterpillars at least reduce the pine four or five million Tam.
