公明镇位于深圳市西北部,全镇总面积100.3平方公里,总人口40多万人。经过20多年的发展,该镇基础设施完善,交通发达,规划整齐,厂房林立,生态型环境优美,适合创业和安居。2001年,全镇实现国内生产总值（GDP）23.72亿元,财政收入1.93亿元。先后荣获“广东省绿化达标先进镇”、“广东省农业科技普及镇”、“深圳市科普教育基地”、“广东省文明镇”、“中国经济百强镇”、“国家卫生镇”等荣誉称号,两个文明建设获得了双丰收。
The town is located in the northwest of Shenzhen City, the town a total area of 100.3 square kilometers, with a total population of 400000 people. After more than 20 years of development, the town has perfect infrastructure, developed traffic, tidy planning, various factories and beautiful ecological environment suitable for business and housing. In 2001, the town achieved gross domestic product (GDP) of 2.372 billion yuan and fiscal revenue of 193 million yuan. It has won such honors as “Advanced Green Afforestation in Guangdong Province”, “Popularization of Agricultural Science and Technology in Guangdong Province”, “Shenzhen Popular Science Education Base”, “Civilized Town in Guangdong Province”, “Top 100 Economic Cities in China” and “National Sanitary Town” Title, won two bumper harvests of two civilizations.
