苏州园林甲江南,自古以来闻名遐迩,历代修建了200多座古典园林,至今遗留下来的尚有69处,庭园28处,数量之多、园艺之精,堪为世界罕见。苏州园林是全国十大风景名胜之一,最近又被评为“全国旅游四十佳”之一,吸引了无数海内外游人。 苏州园林博物馆应运而生,于1992年9月26日开馆并对外开放,博物馆占地2000余平方米,位于苏州著名园林拙政园附近,分“园原”、“园史”、“园趣”、“园冶”四个厅,展示了苏州园林在2000多年悠悠岁月中的历程,容纳了几十座古典园林的旖旎风光。该馆重点介绍苏州园林,涉及江南一带,以历史为主线,反映中国园林
