The first purpose of this review is the same as the writer's of this article, it is worth rethinking the issue of Stapleton's Asian students really lack critical thinking elements in their second language writing. The second purpose is some good wishes both for Japanese students and Asian students will have critical thinking ability and skills in foreign language writing in the near future with the influence of different cultures and of English as a global language, and of culture identity.
