回顾上个世纪，ＩＴ这个新概念，从诞生到发展壮大成为一棵参天大树的历程，标准一直在ＩＴ行业里扮演着极其重要的角色。ＩＴ界是人才辈出的地方，在这里依标准而行尤其重要。对于像ＩＴ这样年轻而又变化迅速的工业领域来说，标准使技术稳定并促进投资。信息技术是相当复杂的，离开了标准人们将很难进行交流。ＩＴ给上个世纪增添了缤纷的色彩，它是上个世纪一道亮丽的风景，这道风景将对二十一世纪产生积极而重大的影响。
