Introduction: Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd. is the first large state-owned enterprise in Zhejiang Province. Twenty-two years ago, when this company rose tenaciously from the tidal flat of a thousand years on the coast of the East China Sea, it was only a petty “little younger brother” in the petrochemical industry. If so, the company’s ability to process crude oil has reached 8 million tons per year, ranking among the top three in the country. The profit per ton of oil is the highest among similar companies in the country, and per capita profit is the highest in the nation. In 1995, the company’s net assets reached 4.975 billion yuan, which was 14 times more than that of 1982 before the company was assigned to China Petrochemical Corporation. It ranked 51st among the 500 largest industrial enterprises in the country; and realized 1.367 billion yuan in profits and taxes, which soared compared with 1982. 20 times, ranking 41st in the country, ranking with comprehensive economic efficiency.
