“老外”一词在我国似乎已成为许多人爱用的口头语，而且成了称呼外国人的通用词。背着外国人可以说，当着外国人的面也可以说，少数人甚至还用作面称。这一词甚至还堂而皇之地进入了大众媒体。《北京青年报》每周一篇的《双语视窗》中就有《老外直言》一栏，甚至有的文章的标?
