我国有着丰富的劣质燃料资源,目前全国煤矸石积存量约有十亿吨,到八五年我国洗煤矸石产量达到三千万吨。这些洗煤矸石具有1000～2000大卡/公斤的热值,是沸腾炉发电的好原料,如果将这些洗矸石全部用于发电,每年可以得到八十亿度电力,等于目前全国统配煤矿和洗煤厂用电量的70％。今后随着煤炭产量的增加和洗选加工的发展,洗矸产量将会迅速增加。由于煤矿利用洗矸发电的成本低于煤矿用电价格,很多矿区都有建立矸石电站的要求。矿区建矸石电站的好处很多,其一:矿区就地就近利用煤矸石发电,灰渣制作水泥、建材,这是化害为利、变废为
