11Д-10M型起动发动机是专门起动Д-54型柴油机的，它安装在Д-54型柴油机的右面传动机构的凸座上（Д-54型柴油机是ЗИФ-650A型钻机的动力）。ПД-10M型超动发动机是高速（3500转/分）二冲程汽化器式汽油机。它的最大运转时间不允许超过15分钟。其曲轴及缸壁的润滑方法，是靠起动前在汽缸头侧部放汽阀处加10—15滴机油来做润滑的；另外，在燃料（汽油）中可混合一部分机油（混合比是15：1）来进行润滑。刚开始使用时，由于我们对新机器性能了解不够及使用方法不当，因而曾造成曲轴及曲轴滚
The 11 Д-10M starter engine is specially designed to start the Д-54 diesel engine.
