Over the past 50 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, health care in Pingdu City, Shandong Province has made remarkable achievements. The per capita life expectancy is 72.33 years, the maternal mortality rate is 2.98/10,000, and the infant mortality rate is 11.2 per thousand. Health institutions and health teams continue to grow. The city has 2269 medical beds, 2,680 health technicians, 1959 rural doctors, and more than 400 pieces of large-scale medical equipment of more than 10,000 yuan.
