在记忆中,7年前出现在《微电脑世界》编辑部的一台明基LCD显示器(显示面板好像是14英寸),是笔者所亲历的第一款平板显示设备。虽然这是一款远在LCD普及之前的早期产品,在亮度、对比度、色彩表现、可视角度和响应时间等方面均无法与当今任何一款最普通的LCD显示器相比,而且对于已习惯了球面CRT显示器的一双眼睛来说,它略微内凹的显示错觉让人多少有些不舒服；但其轻薄的机身与CRT之间的巨大反差,给笔者带来一种前所未有的轻松感。CRT显示器厚重的机身对桌面空间的严重贪噬给人造成的压抑,转瞬间经由LCD得以释然——这大概就是5年前本刊封面评测报道以《进军液晶时代》为题发出呼吁、而后LCD显示器市场果然以势如破竹之势走进千家万户的一个最根本理由!
In memory, a BenQ LCD monitor that appeared seven years ago in the editorial department of Microcomputer World (the display panel appears to be 14 inches) is the first flat panel display ever seen by the author. Although this is an early product before the popularity of the LCD, it can not be compared with any of the most common LCD displays in terms of brightness, contrast, color performance, viewing angle and response time, Spherical CRT monitors, a pair of eyes, it slightly concave showing the illusion of people somewhat uncomfortable; but its thin body and the huge contrast between the CRT, to the author to bring an unprecedented sense of ease.
