Mathematics is a basic discipline that attaches importance to the cultivation of students’ application ability. With the continuous deepening of China’s education reform, mathematics teaching emphasizes the problem-solving teaching mode as the basic requirement of the new curriculum standard. The study of junior middle school mathematics is an important part in cultivating students’ rational thinking to promote their intellectual development. At the same time, mathematics teaching is also a service to better solve math problems. Therefore, using problem-solving teaching methods can not only improve students’ ability to propose, analyze, and solve mathematical problems, but also develop students’ mathematical application awareness and creative thinking. While satisfying the needs of society, it effectively promotes the development of mathematics education. As one of innovative teaching methods, problem solving teaching is taught in junior high school mathematics.
