Qiu Yufang is the first female newspaper reporter in China’s modern press. She was born in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. She was known as a talented girl with a deep knowledge of literature and history in her youth. Before and after the Reform Movement of 1898, it was determined to run popular newspapers and periodicals and advocated the revival of the vernacular
