马本勋的人生经历,折射出了很多现代青年在现实和道德以及梦想之间的矛盾。首先,马本勋的漂泊之路是自己选择的。漂泊是因为梦想。他最初在某个县城当中学教师,待遇不错,本来可以衣食无忧地过平淡安稳的日子。可他当时很年轻,向往外面的世界,心怀梦想,于是辞掉了教师的工作,北上漂泊。而这条路,是他自己选择的。既然是他自己选择的,就意味着他要自己对自己负责,不管未来遭遇什么,有多少风雨坎坷,都得有心理准备,并坚强地走下去。因为选择之后,前程未卜,却不再有回头路。
