林业分类经营是实现全部森林朝着各种不同的专用森林——森林多效益主导利用方向发展的前提。一部分是提供游憩和环境保护的自然保护森林。即生态公益林;另一部分是高度集约经营的用材林,即商品林;大部分是供多效益兼用的森林。林业分类经营就是要通过发展用材林,在高度集约经营的条件下,增加单位面积上的木材产量,取得显著的经济效益,同时满足社会对木材及其它林产品的需求,减少木材供求矛盾,起到保护森林资源的目的;
