First, the issue of the United States “National Science Education Standards” will be the understanding of scientific inquiry and the ability to engage in scientific inquiry, as the core content of science education. It defines scientific inquiry as “a variety of different approaches that scientists use to study the natural world and suggest various explanations based on the evidence obtained from such research.” The inquiry is still “the students’ ideas and concepts for acquiring knowledge and comprehending science. The goal of China’s new curriculum reform is student-centered, advocating students’ initiative participation, willingness to explore, and diligence. Inquiry is a kind of active learning method. It is the main theme of new curriculum chemistry teaching. Inquiry teaching is a kind of simulation.
