在美国讲学期间,加利福尼亚州某社区大学的中文教师请我给美国大学生们演讲。我给他们介绍了中国的改革开放以及中国青年人的生活、学习、工作和精神风貌等情况。演讲完毕,学生们七嘴八舌地提出问题:中国人对美国有什么看法?中国人如何购物?中国大学生的情况如何?人们对香港回归的态度怎样?等等。其中,给我印象最深的是好几位学生问:什么样的人才能加入中国共产党?是否像美国人加入民主党或共和党一样容易?我给他们详细介绍了加入中国共产党的条件和方法,并对他们说,在中国像你们这样的大学生也可以申请入党,但有一点,大学生党员不仅要学习好,而且要吃苦在前,享受在后,团结同学,乐于助人,为人表率,让大家都佩服。因此,一般人很
During the lecture in the United States, a Chinese teacher at a community college in California asked me to give lectures to American college students.
