孙中山先生在中国民主革命时期,同祖国宝岛台湾结下了不解之缘。他曾四次访问或过境日本霸占下的台湾岛,在台胞心目中留下了深刻印象;他领导的辛亥革命的胜利,曾激发起台湾民众一系列反抗日本殖民统治的武装起义;在他不幸逝世时,期盼中国革命成功从而摆脱殖民统治的台湾同胞,对他们十分崇敬的一代伟人孙中山,表达了深深的哀悼。
During the period of China’s democratic revolution, Dr. Sun Yat-sen formed a bond of understanding with Taiwan on the island of the motherland. During his four visits or transit to Taiwan Island under the Japanese occupation, he left a deep impression on the compatriots in Taiwan. The victory of the 1911 Revolution led by him led to a series of armed uprisings of the Taiwan people against Japanese colonial rule. When he unfortunately passed away, his compatriots in Taiwan looking forward to the success of the Chinese revolution and thus getting rid of colonial rule expressed deep condolences to Sun Yat-sen, their great respect for the great generation.
