我国明朝伟大的医药家李时珍,诞生在湖北蕲春。蕲春古称蕲洲,历史悠久,位于鄂、豫、皖、赣四省之间。这里山水秀丽,物产丰富。著名的特产——蕲龟、蕲蛇、蕲竹、蕲艾,被称为“蕲春四宝”。蕲龟形状与普通龟相似,唯其背普生绿色茸毛,故又名绿毛龟。《大明一统志》云:“绿毛龟,蕲州出。置壁间,数年不死,能辟蠹。”李时珍《本草纲目》称绿毛龟“惟蕲州以
