语言和文化的关系相辅相成、密不可分。学习语言就必须学习文化,大学英语教学应该与文化教学结合起来。大学英语教学的目的是培养学生的外语交流能力,所以我们不仅要注重语言本身的教学,而且也要引入英美文化的教学,进行中西文化差异对比,以此来激发学生学习兴趣和提高语言学习质量。
The relationship between language and culture are mutually reinforcing and inseparable. Learning language must learn culture, college English teaching and culture should be combined. The purpose of college English teaching is to cultivate students ’ability to communicate in foreign languages. Therefore, we should not only pay attention to the teaching of language itself, but also introduce the teaching of British and American culture to compare the cultural differences between China and the West so as to stimulate students’ interest in learning and improve the quality of language learning .
