40年村级行政区域未曾变动过的东台市新农镇,日前正在紧锣密鼓地开展村组调整合并工作。在机关、村部、农家、田野,调整合并村组成为干部、群众谈论的热门话题……合村先合心新农镇原有的19个行政村,113个村民小组,2.1万人口;1500人以下的村有16个,占84%;150人以下的村民小组有42个,占37%。早在计划经济的五六十年代,就进行过由大并小的撤并。随着市场经济体制的转换,原有体制已经不相适应,因此,开展村组调整合并工作已迫在眉捷。为此,该镇按照东台市委、市政府的部署和要求,从3月下旬起开始了村组调整合并工作,将19个村合并为11个村(其中两个村增挂居委会牌子),把113个村民自然
