In neonatal medicine, neonatal care in hospitals is designed to help newborns adapt to the new environment by avoiding sudden changes in body temperature, reducing skin damage, preventing infections and using some effective preventative treatment. In 1948, the American Academy of Pediatrics first published a book on neonatal care norms, and regularly revised. This article cites a survey of infants’ rooms in the hospitals of New Bruynixvik Province that examined all aspects of neonatal care in compliance with regulatory requirements issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Department of Health and Human Services of Canada.
