原先图书馆只是用于图书的保存与手工借阅,故在馆藏数量与质量、借阅上有一定缺陷,而伴随信息化时代的到来,图书馆的功能也正发生着重大的变化,它不再仅仅只是保存与利用图书的场所,而更多的已经成为人类知识信息中心。伴随现代人生活节奏的加快与高等教育的发展,传统理念管理下的图书馆,特别是高校图书馆,已经是“门前冷落鞍马稀”。为此,转变服务模式,构建信息化时代下的新型图书馆有着巨大的现实意义。
