他的理想与邪恶现实之间存在着巨大差距,一件伟大的事业担负了在一个不能胜任的人身上,这本身就是就不可能完成的任务。这出绝妙的悲剧,绝不仅仅把复仇的深重视角局限于他软弱的性格所致(况且他的性格绝不软弱)。他只作为无所依靠的浮萍样的作品形象出现,无所依托,不同流合污、特立独群的一个,受着周围种种束缚、常规的限制。我们若把结果仅仅归罪于他的性格悲剧,这就诋毁了一部经典。我们更应吸取精髓的是他在当时、当地、那样的文化背景、特殊地位下的特殊人物,在面临种种束缚下仍竭力释放的“困兽犹斗”的气质。
There is a huge gap between his ideal and the reality of evil. A great undertaking on an incompetent person is an impossible task in itself. This wonderful tragedy must not be limited to the deeper perspective of vengeance on the basis of his feeble character (and his character is by no means weak). He appears only as an image of a duckweed-like work that is relied on without any backing, and the one that flows in different ways and stands alone is bound by the restrictions and conventions surrounding him. If we blame the result only on his character tragedy, we discredit a classic. What we should learn more is the temperament of the “beasts who are still beasts and dogs” that he still endeavored to release in the face of all kinds of constraints at the time, with his local, local cultural background and special characters.
