苏东坡《题鲁公帖》曰:“观其书,有以得其为人,则君子小人必见于书。”书画虽一技,也讲究气节。凡其人持身端方,立朝刚正,下笔为书,字自然凛然正气,令人生敬。宋之郑思肖,元之杨维桢,明之黄道周,清之丁敬、朱栋、邓石如等人,皆因个人之气节,使其书画凛然刚正,气节毕显。人心不同,诚如其面,由中发外,书画亦然。
