应用剖腹产方法取得的BALB/c仔鼠，用SPF级KM小鼠代乳可做到净化。净化后的BALB/c小鼠，其保种群和扩大群经微生物监测均达到SPF级水平，其遗传特性未见改变。对净化后的BALB/c小鼠的1～5胎仔鼠的初生体重及离乳前的体重均属正常范围，各胎之间无明显差异。哺乳期的生长与初生体重之间无明显关系，而与母鼠的哺育能力有很大的关系。
