郭应禄，１９３０年５月４日出生于山西省定襄县。１９５６年毕业于北京医学院医学系，１９５８年加入中国共产党。１９６３年于北京医学院泌尿外科专业研究生毕业。曾任北京医学院院长。现任北京大学泌尿外科研究所所长，北京大学泌尿外科培训中心主任，博士生导师，教授。郭应禄是新一代泌尿外科和男科学学科带头人。主编著作１２部，论文２６４篇，成果２０项。１９８２年主持研制国内ESWL样机，１９８４年应用于临床治疗肾结石，１９８７年首创俯卧位治疗输尿管结石，是国内ESWL领域的开拓者。８０年代率先开展经尿道手术、输尿管镜、经皮肾镜、腹腔镜和微创手术，１９９１年主编第一部《腔内泌尿外科学》，成为我国这一领域的奠基人。８０年代主编第一部肾移植专著《肾移植》，１９９５年提出腔内热疗３个温度段的观点，澄清了国际上模糊概念，完成肾上腺手术３００余例。他所培养的研究生中已获硕士学位的９名、博士学位的２４名。１９９１年创建腔内泌尿外科和ESWL学组，１９９５年创建中华医学会男科学会。同年组建北京医科大学泌尿科培训中心并成立吴阶平泌尿外科医学基金会，１９９７年启动的泌尿外科人才工程取得显著的成绩，已列入“２１１”工程的标志性成果，为提高我国泌尿外科的整体水?
Guo Yinglu was born on May 4, 1930 in Dingxiang County, Shanxi Province. 1956 graduated from the Beijing Medical College of Medicine, joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1958. 1963 in Beijing Medical College Urology graduate.
