我们在1973~1975年对某地区部队的夜盲症发生情况做了3次调查。调查结果表明,每逢3~5月蔬菜淡季都有不少夜盲症发生。以1975年4月份调查为例,调查了16个连队,发病率为9.3%。夜盲症发生的主要原因是膳食中胡萝卜素摄入量低。调查地区地处寒带,全年无霜期短,富含胡萝卜素的绿叶菜品种少,产量低。为了做好反侵略战争的准备,寻找防治夜盲症发生的有效方法是一项重要任务。因此,我们进行了如下的初步试验。
In 1973-1975, we conducted three surveys on the incidence of night blindness in a regional unit. The survey results show that every 3 to 5 months, there are many vegetables off-night blindness occurred. Taking the survey conducted in April 1975 as an example, 16 companies were investigated with a prevalence of 9.3%. The main cause of night blindness is the low carotene intake in the diet. The investigation area is located in the frigid zone with short frost-free period throughout the year, fewer green leafy vegetables rich in carotene, and low yield. In order to prepare for the war against aggression, it is an important task to find an effective way to prevent night blindness. Therefore, we conducted the following preliminary test.
