她是一名生于中国台湾地区、定居英国多年的华人,她曾是英国《卫报》的一名记者,她的镜头对准的是非法移民到英国的中国劳工。她叫白晓红。2013年9月23日,由她卧底妓院偷拍非法卖淫女生存现状制作而成的纪录片《性:我的英国工作》,在英国BBC第四频道播出。近10年来,白晓红用体验式的报道方式,一次次地深入非法劳工群体中,目睹、倾听甚至亲历他们背井离乡的血泪与煎熬。她希望用自己的镜头和文字为生活在英国黑暗角落的中国非法劳工带来光明。
She was a Taiwanese born in Taiwan, China, who has lived in Britain for many years. She was a reporter for the Guardian in the UK and she is targeting Chinese workers illegally immigrating to the United Kingdom. Her name is Bai Xiaohong. On September 23, 2013, a documentary “Sex: My Work in Britain,” made by her undercover brothel for candidly photographing the existence of illegal prostitutes, was broadcast on BBC Channel 4 in the United Kingdom. In the past 10 years, Bai Xiaohong has used experiential reporting methods to visit illegal workers one after another, witnessing, listening to and even witnessing the bloodshed and torment they have left home. She hopes to use her lens and words to bring light to the Chinese illegal workers in the dark corners of Britain.
