由中国译协、漓江出版社、广西译协主办的第二次全国中青年文学翻译经验交流会,于1988年10月11日至16日在桂林召开。来自各省、市、自治区翻译界的中青年代表和特邀老翻译家、学者近100人参加了会议。代表们在大会和小组会上,交流文学翻译经验,探讨在改革开放中如何培养、团结青年文学翻译队伍,提高译作质量,繁荣文学翻译事业等问题。大会开幕式由中国译协常务副秘书长林煌天、漓江出版社副总编刘硕良主持。中国译协代会长叶水夫致开幕词,他说,近年来,我国翻译界许多新秀脱颖而出,取得了显著的成绩,中青年翻译工作者的队伍茁壮成长,更见强大。他指出,文学翮译是不朽的盛事,同时也是一项要付出
The Second National Young and Middle-aged Literary Translation Experience Exchange Conference, sponsored by China Association for the Translation of Translators, Lijiang Publishing House and Guangxi Translator, was held in Guilin on October 11-16, 1988. Nearly 100 representatives of young and middle-aged from the translation circles in various provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, as well as invited old translators and scholars attended the conference. At the congress and group meetings, deputies exchanged experiences on literary translation and discussed issues such as how to cultivate and unite young literary translators in the course of reform and opening up, improve the quality of translation work, and promote the cause of literary translation. The opening ceremony of the conference was hosted by Lin Shu-tian, executive deputy secretary-general of China Translation Association, and Liu Shuo-liang, deputy editor of Lijiang Publishing House. In his opening speech, acting chairman of the Chinese Association of Chinese Actors Ye Shui-fu, he said that in recent years many rookies in the translation field of our country have come to the fore and achieved remarkable results.
