The unique optical properties of silver nanoparticles by self-assembly to form two-dimensional thin films provide a large number of “hot spots” that make them attractive Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) substrates. In this paper, a self-assembled water / hexane interface was used to fabricate a thin film of silver nanopartides in close proximity. Rhodamine 6G was used as a probe to compare the enhancement effect of different sizes of silver particles. The results show that the 160nm particles The enhancement effect is the best. Compared with the sparse granular film formed by dropping the silver sol, the SERS enhancement effect of the closely packed granular film is obviously better.
