闪烁晶体广泛应用于高能物理、核医学成像和辐射探测等领域。工业应用通常要求闪烁晶体具有高性能、大尺寸和低成本等。本文报道了中国科学院上海硅酸盐研究所在锗酸铋、钨酸铅和氧化碲等闪烁晶体工业化生长方面的最新研究进展,讨论了坩埚下降法作为工业晶体生长技术的优缺点。
Scintillation crystals are widely used in high-energy physics, nuclear medicine imaging and radiation detection and other fields. Industrial applications often require scintillation crystals with high performance, large size and low cost. This paper reports the recent progress in the industrialization of scintillation crystals such as bismuth germanate, lead tungstate and tellurium oxide at the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the crucible drop method as an industrial crystal growth technique.
