主持人:党的十六大召开在即,这将是中华民族发展史上的一个重要的里程碑,在这举国振奋的时刻,莘莘学子们更是关注着祖国的前途和命运。改革开放以来,中国插上了腾飞的翅膀。在本期“报告会”栏目中,我们系统地介绍了13年来我国改革开放和经济建设的伟大成就。然而,在快速发展的进程中,我们既积累了丰富的经验教训,同时又面临着新的挑战和机遇,这些都不可能不引起我们的冷静思考。全球化背景下我们面对的是什么?在深化改革中我们应当如何攻坚?我们的观念应该怎样进一步适应现代化?等等,都是大家十分关心的问题。为了吸引同学们深入研究和思考中国的发展问题,辨认行进的方向,把握未来的先机,我们特请北京大学几位研究生就上述问题座谈,并请他们撰写了这组稿件。
Moderator: The convening of the 16th CPC National Congress will soon be held. This will be an important milestone in the history of the development of the Chinese nation. At this exciting time in our country, all our students are even more concerned about the future and destiny of the motherland. Since the reform and opening up, China has taken off its wings. In this part of the “report conference”, we systematically introduced the great achievements of China’s reform and opening up and economic construction in the past 13 years. However, in the course of rapid development, we have accumulated rich experience and lessons as well as new challenges and opportunities that are unlikely to arouse our calm thinking. What are we facing in the context of globalization? How should we tackle problems in deepening our reforms? How should our ideas be further adapted to modernization? All these are issues of great concern to all. In order to attract students to study and reflect on China’s development issues in depth and to identify the direction of progress and grasp the opportunities ahead, we invited several graduate students at Peking University to discuss the above issues and asked them to write the set of manuscripts.
